51st Church Anniversary

quinlanjohnMarch 1, 2009 marked the 51st Church Anniversary of the Bible Baptist Church in Guerrero, Davao City. We had Rev. John Quinlan as our guest speaker that day. He is the pastor of the Mountain View Bible Baptist Church in Pampanga. Sunday school was great as we continued our series on the Articles of Faith – The Resurrection. We had a total of 792 in time for our Sunday School.

During the morning serivce, Rev. Quinlan brought a message from Acts chapter 2 entitled “Gathered Together to Gather”. He exhorted and reminded us that the duty of the church is to go out and evangelize our community and our part of the world. A total of 53 souls trusted Christ during the morning service. This including those who came forward in the children’s ministries. Add to that, we also reached our goal of having a thousand in attendance by having a total of 1,244. What a blessing!

And what a blessing it was to hear our choir sing “Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs” all in tune to God’s melody. Bro. Quinlan then preached on “Building to Last” from John chapter 4. Encouraging us to make sure that we are building something that will last and that can only happen by following God’s principles through His Word. A total of 551 were in attendance during that event.

We thank the Lord for the great blessings He has showered upon our Church Anniversary. We are now looking forward for greater blessings in the future.
Please do pray for us as we prepare for our Church Camp that will be on April 14-16, 2009.
