Happy New Year!

As we look back and reflect upon the year 2008, we realize how time quickly passed by. We also can’t help but think how God has wonderfully blessed and sustained us through this past year. Personally, this year was filled with blessings, victories and opportunities. But along these, God in His sovereignty has allowed burdens, challenges and trials to be interwoven into these same positive things. Often times, that’s how God works in “balancing” you out, giving you grace just in the nick of time.

MUSIC

The Bible says in Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.’ “

Music is a vital part of our worship as Bible-Believing Christians. As Baptists, we hold true to the Scriptural views of music. Christian music should reflect the orderliness of God.

This year, One of our projects in the Ambassadors’ Dept. was to reproduce the old “Young People’s Favorites” and give them to the mission churches that we support. As part of the editing we added this article to help them identify the Biblical kind of Music from the Non-Biblical type. We also added a visayan version.

As the secular world celebrated what they called “X-mas” with commercialism and wordliness, we at the Bible Baptist Church desired to honor the Lord during the CHRISTmas season by putting the emphasis where it ought to be – on Christ.

While I was preparing my message “Continue”, I began writing this as a part of my conclusion. I’d like to share it with you. It is my prayer that the Lord would inspire your heart to just “Continue”.
